Carrie Hamby
As a child in rural Indiana, Carrie was trained to be a concert pianist. Advanced academic studies in engineering temporarily sidelined that dream, as she found herself working in Augusta, Maine, helping to develop the computerized wash/dry cycle for Norge Washer/Dryer Industries. A fortuitous vacation to Disney World brought her into contact with the music of Smokey Bear and his Bluegrass Cubs. Carrie's musical fires were rekindled, and she dug deeper and deeper (and lower and lower) into roots music, where she met The Mayhaws.
